There's no drift, drag, time attack, checkpoint, etc. In FH games you are limited to 2 events, circuit and sprint, on 3 surfaces, roads, dirt tracks and cross country. With such clueless AI you definitely need it. The best feature in FH games is the rewind button. At least in TC the traffic obeys the rules of the road and if you hit any thing then it's usually your fault. The AI in FH games is clueless, both the traffic and the drivatars. In FH2 you can go through fields but there are still barriers to some places and the worlds limit is tiny compared to TC. There are no mountain roads in either FH games, even though there are mountains in the world but you can't get to them. TC gives us 6 large cities, at least 8 small cities and loads of small towns to go to. FH2? The only place anything like a city was Nice and that was massively scaled down. It didn't even have Denver, it's capital city. Turn 10/Playground games said FH would be the whole of the state of Colorado. So why is the TC better than FH? (in no particular order): I've read some post's recently on this forum about how Forza Horizon games are better than The Crew and how Forza Horizon 3 will be the game The Crew should have been, so I thought I'd point out a few things about the 2 games that people seem to have missed.
